CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Donald McLachlan founded SilverQuest Consulting Group LLC in 2002 and is currently the President and CEO. Donald has over 22 years of experience in managing people, projects, and organizations. He is an ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (ASQ-CMQOE), a professional recognition from the American Society for Quality. He also is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Donald practiced law for ten years with corporations and law firms in Fort Worth and Tyler, Texas. He specialized in business, banking, and insurance litigation. His clients included several Fortune 500 companies: American Standard, BorgWarner, and SBC Communications. His law practice focused on the following areas of expertise:
- Real Estate Contracts, Development, and Transactions
- Asset Protection and Debt Collection
- Complex Loan Restructuring and Workouts
- Capitalization Structure Issues
- Business Entity Formation for Profit and Non-Profit Organizations

Donald has over five years of experience with the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award process. He currently serves on the 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners. He is a trainer and instructor with the Quality Texas Foundation, and a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Texas Center for Performance Excellence. Donald's focus in the Baldrige process is improving the performance of all types of organizations--government, non-profit, manufacturing, education, service, and health care. His Baldrige experience includes: training others in the use of Baldrige Criteria, developing curriculum for online Baldrige training modules, writing an award winning application, serving as team leader and examiner, writing and editing feedback reports, serving on site visit teams, and sponsoring Baldrige events.

Donald earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Baylor University, a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law, and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He is a member of the Institute of Management Consultants, the American Society for Quality, the American Management Association, and the Quality Texas Foundation. Donald is happily married and has two children.

Dr. Mac McGuire has over sixteen years as an external consultant and over 20 years experience as an internal consultant to the United States Army. Mac began as a private and worked his way through the ranks where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was responsible for the implementation of quality initiatives for over 20,000 personnel in 110 Texas communities.
Dr. McGuire is a highly energetic and positive motivational speaker. He is adept with any group and brings sound advice and a common sense approach to any problem. He possesses great people skills and is a consensus builder as well as a team builder.
Dr. McGuire holds an education degree from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M, Commerce), a Master's degree in Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph. D. from Capella University (Big 10 accredited) in Organizational Behavior and Management. Mac has read over 910 books on business, leadership, strategic planning, and building teams.

John Gillis, Jr. is a certified management consultant in business transformation. He has consulted with companies of all sizes and all industries: from start-up to Fortune 50, from local to international, from 3 to 400,000+ employees, from high tech to waste removal to non-profit.
John Gillis has an undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and an MBA from Baylor University. He has been a certified management consultant for IBM’s Strategic Change and Business Transformation practices and has served as a Malcolm Baldrige quality examiner. He also founded a non-profit charity, CampLIFE!, benefiting underprivileged children.
