STRATEGY

1—Identify My Personal Customers and their specific requirements

Key Individuals and Groups of People and God that I am relating to and their particular needs and requirements

Answer these questions:

  • Who expects something from me?
  • What are the requirements of this person or group?
  • Who are the primary customers in my life?

2—Determine My Life Calling And ultimate destiny

Mission—why do I exist?

Values—what is important?

 Vision—where am I going?

 Core Competencies—what do I do well?

 Differentiation—how am I different and what does that mean? 

My Calling flows from my

  • Customer—the God and people I serve
  • Commitment—the purpose I believe in
  • Competence—the task I do well
  • Characteristic—the distinction that sets me apart from others

3—Examine the Challenges and Constraints that might impede or limit success in achieving my calling and develop plan to overcome and navigate challenges and constraints

Core Competencies in the Context of My Life
Specific Boundary Conditions
Healthy Habits
Life Balance

Evaluate overall challenges and constraints in these areas:

  • Physical
  • Emotional
  • Social
  • Spiritual
  • Financial
  • Vocational

4—Develop the Core Competencies required to achieve calling

Design Executive Education and Training Plan to:

  • Develop existing skills
  • Acquire new skills

5—Create a Cohort or Set of Colleagues to build on the strengths of the people around me

A Network of Pacesetters and Peers in my vocational field and other fields

Evaluate current relationships and develop plan to:

  • Strengthen existing relationships
  • Develop new relationships

6—Increase the Capacity for Success for my Strategic Plan by understanding where I derive motivation and energy

 

Identification of joy, motivation, and energy flow in my life

Specific Plan to increase level of energy and joy in my life

The energy in my life comes from:

  • God who loves me, guides me, and provides for me
  • The people who believe in me
  • The activities that I enjoy
  • The friends that I like
  • The accomplishments I achieve
  • The healthy habits I develop
  • The pain I let go of
  • The personal strategic plan that excites me

7—Design a Comprehensive Strategic Plan to achieve life and vocational objectives

Personal Strategic Plan that addresses every area of my life and includes career objectives, metrics, and action plans and incorporates the plans developed in Steps 4, 5, and 6

Create a Strategic Plan for my Life and Career:

  • Develop and Prioritize Strategic Objectives
  • Define Performance Metrics
  • Set and Prioritize short and long-term goals
  • Set action plans
  • Allocate time and resources

8—Establish Checkpoints to evaluate progress and make improvements

Process for Objective Analysis of progress and system for Continuous Improvements
